Cone Beam CT

CS-9000

Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, small volume cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate, 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of endodontic disease. This allows three-dimensional visualization of teeth, bone, sinuses and surrounding structures with minimal radiation to the patient, enabling a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies (regular dental x-rays). With the addition of cone-beam CT technology to our office, our practice is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, patient care.

Digital Imaging

Endo Inc. Root Canal Specialists carefully chooses which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.

digital-xray

Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Endo Inc. Root Canal Specialists utilizes Digital Imaging Technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 90 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs.  The high-resolution images appear in an instant, eliminating the time spent waiting for the developing of film. This process is also environmentally friendly; chemicals necessary for developing conventional x-rays are not needed for digital radiography.  Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. We may be able to see cavities better.

Digital imaging allows us to store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies.

Digital X-Rays:

Digital X-rays offer more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor, instead of holding up a 35mm film to the light. Digital X-rays results in 1/6th the radiation exposure to you.

Surgical Microscopes

microscope

The introduction of the surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of Endodontic Microsurgery. We have invested in the very best quality surgical microscopes, that provide unparalleled magnification and illumination for our surgical procedures.

Our success depends on us being able to see the minutest of details – you cannot treat what you cannot see. In addition, we have incorporated the latest high definition video allowing us to record our procedures with unequaled clarity and detail.

apex locators

It is important for the success of root canal treatment to clean and fill to the end of the root, or apex. We utilize apex locators which monitor the difference between tissue surrounding the tooth and tooth structure to aid in determining the length of the root. Apex locators also detect perforations and root fractures with minimal radiation and decreased treatment time. The use of apex locators results in less post operative pain, less retreatment of previously endodontically treated teeth and in addition reduces the need for numerous radiographs.

sterilization

We adhere to the most rigorous standards of infection control advocated by OSHA, the Centers for Disease Control and the American Dental Association. We utilize autoclave sterilization and barrier techniques to eliminate any risk of infection.

electronic health records

We work to improve communication with our patients and referring dentists as well as provide greater security of confidential information. Our Electronic Health Records makes this a reality. With EHR, complete patient records are instantly available at any workstation in both office locations, which means no matter where our doctors are for the day, they have instant secured access to patient records.

Secure Email and Online forms

The privacy and security of your health information is important to us. That is why we have secure online patient registration and dentist referral forms for information exchange online.  In addition, our offices use HIPAA compliant secure email which allows us to secure sensitive email and file attachments when communicating with our patients and referring dentists.
